Year 2 PSHE Lessons

Year 2 have been celebrating diversity in their PSHE lessons this term, learning about how everyone is unique and how our differences help us work together as a team. The children explored the idea that although we may think, look or work differently, we can still cooperate, support one another and achieve shared goals.

In one lesson, the children worked collaboratively to create a group art piece. Some children chose bold colours, while others focused on fine details or imaginative shapes. When all the pieces were brought together, the children were delighted to see how their individual creative flairs combined to form one beautiful piece of artwork.

In another PSHE lesson, the children took part in a teamwork challenge that required problem-solving, communication and cooperation. They were given puzzle pieces and asked to complete the puzzle without having a picture to guide them. As they worked together, the children soon realised that there were actually two different puzzles mixed together in the same box. The children showed resilience and teamwork, sharing ideas and supporting one another until both puzzles were successfully completed. The sense of achievement was clear, and the children were proud of what they had accomplished together.
