Year 6 WWII Project

Year 6 pupils have recently completed an impressive and highly creative project linked to their learning about World War II.

As part of this homework, the children were encouraged to use a range of resources available at home and they did not disappoint. There were projects made from Lego, small figures and recycled materials. The final outcomes were outstanding.

The Children produced a wide variety of detailed dioramas, sculptures and replicas that reflected key aspects of life during WWII. These included carefully constructed Anderson Shelters, Tanks, wartime vehicles and striking city skylines showing the impact of the Blitz. Many models demonstrated thoughtful historical accuracy, with attention paid to details such as camouflage, shelter structures and the contrast between damaged and intact buildings.

They then presented these to their classmates with confidence and pride. Well done Year 6!
