Year 1 & 2 Step Back in Time!

Our Year 1 and 2 pupils have been learning all about what schools were like in the past and how they compare to today! They loved sequencing pictures on a timeline and asking brilliant questions about old-fashioned classrooms.

A highlight was visiting The Spinney Care Home, where pupils chatted with residents about their school days. They were amazed to hear about strict teachers, chalkboards, and different writing tools, but also happy to discover that children in the past loved reading and writing too!

What a fantastic way to bring history to life!
