Year 5 & 6 Pizza Express Trip

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils recently enjoyed an exciting trip to Pizza Express, where they had the chance to step into the shoes of a pizzaiolo and make their very own margherita pizzas. With aprons and chef hats on, and dough at the ready, pupils learned how to stretch the base, add the tomato sauce, and carefully top their creations with cheese before watching them go into the oven.

Alongside the fun of making (and of course, eating!) their pizzas, pupils also took part in a lively quiz about ingredients. They learned where different toppings are sourced from, the importance of fresh produce, and how food journeys from farm to plate. The trip was both educational and delicious, giving pupils the opportunity to combine hands-on learning with a memorable experience.
