The start of the new school year in After School Club
The new academic year has started with great energy and excitement at our After School Club, where children from across the EYFS and Junior School are settling in beautifully. The pupils have been enjoying snack time where children get to relax and enjoy a healthy bite while chatting with friends. This daily routine helps foster a sense of community and gives pupils the chance to recharge before diving into their chosen activities. The home corner has also been a highlight for our younger pupils in imaginative role play, cooking up delicious pretend meals and creating their own stories. It’s been wonderful to see how this space encourages collaboration, communication, and lots of laughter.
Some of our older pupils have been putting their construction skills to the test. Using a variety of building materials, they have designed and created everything from houses and rockets to beautiful gardens, proudly sharing their inventions with peers and staff alike. This hands-on play not only sparks creativity but also develops problem-solving skills and teamwork. Overall, it has been a fantastic start to the term, with children across all year groups thriving in the supportive and stimulating environment of the After School Club. With so much enthusiasm and imagination on display already, the months ahead promise to be filled with more exciting projects, friendships, and fun.
