EYFS Doctor Visit

Today, Dr Alex visited to talk to the children about his role as a paediatric doctor. He showed the children a range of medical equipment, including thermometers, bandages and a stethoscope. The class were full of curiosity and asked lots of thoughtful questions such as, “What do you wear at the hospital?”, “How do you put bandages on?”, “How does a stethoscope listen to your heart?” and “Where is the hospital?” They also enjoyed sharing their own experiences of times they had hurt themselves. Afterwards, the children explored the doctor role-play area and finished the session by writing their own prescriptions.
