Stratford Music Festival Winners!

The Normanhurst Junior Choir recently competed at the Stratford Music Festival at St Mary's Church in South Woodford. The other schools taking part set a very high standard, but happily, Normanhurst won first place with 85 marks and was awarded honours! The choir was complimented by the adjudicator on their "warm tone and an endearing performance with excellent choreography" for their Māori folk song, and then on their "darker tone" and "great spaceship sounds and communication" for their second song, The Astronaut by Alice Zawadzki. The choir worked very hard in the weeks leading up to the competition, and Mrs Scott, their conductor, was very impressed with their dedication and hard work!
