Duke of Edinburgh Expedition
We are very proud of the team of Year 9 students from Normanhurst who recently completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Expedition.
The group met at Lambourne End and successfully completed approximately 19 km of walking on the first day, followed by a further 11 km on the second day. Throughout the expedition, students demonstrated excellent navigation skills, teamwork and resilience. They carried their own equipment, set up camp and cooked their evening meals independently.
Despite the challenge of covering such distances, and encountering everything from sheep to llamas along the way, all students supported one another throughout the expedition and should be extremely proud of their achievement.
Well done to everyone involved for successfully completing this important section of their Bronze DofE Award.
