Year 3 & 4 Trip to Whipsnade Zoo

Year 3 & 4 classes had a fantastic day out at Whipsnade Zoo! The pupils had the opportunity to see a wide variety of amazing animals and learn more about them in their naturalistic habitats.

As part of our visit, the children took part in an exciting workshop all about giraffe behaviour, learning how giraffes communicate, behave and interact with one another. They also put their science knowledge to the test by carrying out field research, searching the zoo grounds for different vertebrates and invertebrates. The children carefully observed the animals they found and recorded their findings, helping them to apply their classroom learning in a real-world environment.

The children had lots of fun exploring the zoo, enjoying the great outdoors and making some fantastic memories together. A brilliant day was had by all!
