Year 5 Trumpet Assembly

Year 5 showcased their hard work and talent by playing their trumpets at the Junior School assembly.

The pupils have been learning to play the trumpet in their weekly classroom music lessons this year. Mrs Scott engaged our talented brass teacher, Mr Olsson, to co-teach the children to play the trumpets provided by the music department and to read music. This culminated in a performance for the Junior children, where they played Regal Fanfare and the famous Star Wars Theme by John Williams.

Mr Olsson gave a wonderful talk explaining how the trumpet works, and Mrs Scott also accompanied the children on her trumpet, having learned alongside them, proving it is never too early or too late to take up an instrument!
