Reception loved creating a story map of the story ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ and retelling it by looking at the pictures they drew. Pupils worked together very well, taking it in turns to add to the map, and paying attention to their friends’ drawings. Great work Reception!
It was Year 4’s first Science class of the term, and they got right into creating electrical circuits The kids were so passionate about the lesson that they approached it with the questioning minds of true scientists, successfully constructing circuits to power a light bulb and a motor. Congratulations, Year 4, on a fantastic start to the year!
This morning, Reception heard the story ‘The Teddy Bear’s Picnic,’ followed by an activity in which they were given supplies and had to try to create a bridge so the teddy bears could cross the river safely. They deliberated carefully and decided to work together to build a large bridge out of lolly pop sticks and cups. Luckily, the teddy bears arrived safely at their picnic!
