Our junior pupils continue the rich and varied curriculum that was started in the Infants. We aim to make learning not just challenging but also exciting. Pupils all study a full curriculum: English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, French, ICT, Art, DT, Drama, Music, PE and Games.
We hope all of our pupils are challenged to think for themselves and to participate readily in the classroom. We them to talk about their learning and to understand how to progress. Pupils discuss their ideas, work individually and also in pairs or groups. They have an extended independent writing task every week to encourage written articulacy and expression.
The weekly ‘Times Table Challenge’ is a regular feature in Junior assembly, with points awarded to each class.
