Year 4 Visit Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge

Yesterday, Year 4 took an afternoon walk to Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge in Chingford. This was a trip linked to their current Humanities topic, ‘How is the Amazon Rainforest different to Epping Forest?’. The children explored the museum, understanding its relevance to the area and why it was chosen by the Tudor Royal Family, nearly 500 years ago. It was a lovely historical trip linking very well to the local area, which will enable the pupils to compare Epping Forest to the Amazon Rainforest.
