On Thursday 6 July we held our annual Speech Day and Prize Giving, the perfect opportunity to celebrate the many achievements and successes of our pupils throughout the year.
This year we had a very special guest speaker, past pupil Yazmin Meikle. Yazmin joined Normanhurst in Year 7 in September 2011 and was House Captain for Connaught and Chair of the Charity Committee. Yazmin now performs in West End’s Les Miserables. In her speech, she encouraged our pupils to follow their passions and dream big.
As well as the huge array of prizes that were awarded, the evening was filled with many performances and musical numbers, such as a string duet of ‘Pure Imagination’, a piano solo of ‘Summer’, and vocal solo of ‘Halleluja’.
We are very proud of our Head Prefects who both gave very moving speeches about their time at Normanhurst. We wish the new Head Prefects, House Captains and Prefects the best of luck next year.
It was a fantastic afternoon full of proud pupils, staff, friends and family. Congratulations to all of our prize winners!
