On Thursday 6 July we held our annual Speech Day and Prize Giving, the perfect opportunity to celebrate the many achievements and successes of our pupils throughout the year.
This year we had a very special guest speaker, past pupil Yazmin Meikle. Yazmin joined Normanhurst in Year 7 in September 2011 and was House Captain for Connaught and Chair of the Charity Committee. Yazmin now performs in West End’s Les Miserables. In her speech, she encouraged our pupils to follow their passions and dream big.
A huge well done to all of our musicians who gave some great performances, such as a string duet of ‘Spring’, and ‘Consider Yourself’, and ‘There’s a Power in the Music’ by the Junior Choir. The British Sign Language Club also gave touching performance of ‘A Million Dreams’.
It was a fantastic afternoon full of proud pupils, staff, friends and family. Congratulations to all of our prize winners!
