Year 10 pupil Brandon, currently ranked 4th in the National U18 badminton singles ranking table, took part last term in the U18 Essex Restricted where he successfully defended his singles title for the 5th year running. He accumulated a silver in the doubles event, and another gold in the mixed doubles event, which he entered for the first time.
Brandon also entered the Essex Senior Restricted category with his father; seeded 5/8, they managed to beat the 3/4 seeds, oust the top seeds and outplay the second seeds in the final, taking another gold. This means that Brandon is most likely the youngest ever winner of the event. Following this result he has been invited to play for Essex Senior 1st team.
