Normanhurst Juniors are making great progress in their Master Reader Challenge. During one of our recent assemblies, there were bundles of certificates, badges and gift books to be handed out to those who continue to take part in our reading challenge!
The Master Reader Challenge is aimed to promote the joy of reading across Juniors while celebrating little achievements along the way. The pupils are encouraged to read 50 books in a year; however, their progress is continuously celebrated with a certificate for every 10 books they complete. Furthermore, they receive a gift book after completing their 25th book. At the end of their 50-book journey, they receive a special badge to wear proudly. Each year group has its own badge and they can collect them from Y1 all the way up to Y6!
We are looking forward to handing out many more certificates, badges and gift books to many more of our Normanhurst readers.
