Year 1 and Year 2 had a wonderful time exploring Whipsnade Zoo!
Year 1 particularly enjoyed seeing the Giraffes and the Tigers which will be very helpful when the children start learning about camouflage animals after half term. They asked lots of questions about each animal, wondering why they are that colour and if every tiger has the same stripes.
Year 2 saw lots of different animals despite the rain and especially enjoyed the butterfly house where they saw butterflies throughout different stages of metamorphosis. The children managed to recognise the chrysalis and loved guessing what type of butterfly would emerge.
