Reception Learn An Important Lesson From Elmer

As part of Black History Month, Reception have been reading a selection of different Elmer stories to think about celebrating our differences and being proud to be unique!

Reception created their own Elmer’s using milk bottles and loved having a herd of different shapes and sizes of Elmer.

Reception continued their work about Elmer by creating a giant Elmer art project. They drew Elmer on the table, filled it with lots of kitchen roll and then the children used pipettes to spread lots of watercolour paint. The paint spread over the tissues making a beautifully coloured Elmer! They then tried pressing some paper on top to see if they could make a colourful Elmer print.
