Every Tuesday afternoon, the children across Kindergarten become ‘mini artists’ and this week they were painting in the style of Van Gogh. After watching a lovely story about Katie and her grandma visiting an art gallery where they saw the picture ‘Starry Night’, it was time to create our own.
Everyone had a great experience as we finger and hand painted, recreating the twirls and swirls of a night sky. The children used more controlled finger movements to create the stars and throughout the afternoon we talked about the other famous picture by Van Gogh that we looked at last week; his sunflowers.
Well done everyone, perhaps you will have your pictures hanging in an art gallery.
