Normanhurst Juniors have School Pets – 5 Giant African Land Snails!
The snails have started their Normanhurst Journey being cared for by our Year 6 pupils who have named them after the School Values. They painted a tiny tip of the top of the shell of each snail so we can tell them apart. The yellow snail represents ‘Friendship’, the orange snail represents ‘Respect’, the pink snail represents ‘Determination’, the purple snail represents ‘Excellence’ and the green snail represents ‘Courage’. The snails will make their way through all of the junior classes to be cared for by all of our pupils with the help of the Year 6 prefect team. Welcome Snails!
