Year 6 Had A Fantastic Week Celebrating The Platinum Jubilee!

Year 6 had a brilliant time celebrating Jubilee Week in preparation for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Party.

Starting the week off they were learning all about the Queen’s reign and facts about her life. They participated in the Morris Dancing workshop where they were able to show off their coordination skills and work as a group to perform. They also had fun painting their plates to commemorate this jubilee in their second workshop of the week.

Throughout their Maths lessons, they had many challenges surrounding the Queen and they were able to work systematically and use clues to find the final solution, including a seating chart for the Platinum Jubilee Dinner and the photo positions for the official photograph. The pupils also researched and created a biography all about Queen Elizabeth II herself.

To finish off their exciting week, they joined the Normanhurst Street party, diving into delicious cakes and sandwiches before playing a whole school game of Bingo where we had the two official winners of the game, Felix and Olof! What a wonderful way for Year 6 to finish this half term, a great Jubilee celebration was had by all.
