Year Two had a brilliant day out at Stansted Mountfitchet Castle, despite the drizzle! The children were amazed to learn about the different buildings that were spread out around the Norman Village, including the Grand Hall, the Pottery and the Surgeon’s House. As they roamed around the grounds, the children loved having a chance to experience wearing the protective helmet and shield, as well as practising their sword fighting technique! At one point, the class were even locked in the jail! Another highlight of the day was seeing the animals that roam free around the Village, the children were amazed by how many different types of chickens there were! All in all, Year Two had a fantastic time at the Castle.
