This term in Year 3, we are learning all about animals, including humans. We had a lot of fun this week in our science lesson, learning all about the Human skeleton. We looked at both the common names and the scientific names for the bones in our bodies, including the cranium, humerus, femur and clavicle. We even had the chance to extend our learning further by completing a practical activity in the playground. We were set the challenge to draw around a member of our group with chalk and then name as many bones as we could remember. Year 3 enjoyed the lesson naming their bones and the importance these bones play in our day today functioning of our body. We even had the chance to play a game of bones bingo, our winners were Alex, Lily, Erdogan, Kehanique and Lachlan.
