Holocaust Memorial Trust Visit

Year 6 had the privilege of a visit from the Holocaust Memorial Trust on Friday 21 November. Not only did they learn about the Kinder Transport and Kristallnacht but they also listened to Vera Schaufeld, a Holocaust survivor, who described her experiences in Prague in the 1930s and after she left her family on Kinder Transport and came to England in June 1939, not knowing that she would never see her family again.  The Year 6 class and the Year 11 historians asked her questions about her life and William in Year 6 presented her and Helen with a gift to show their thanks and appreciation.
