Year 5 Trip to the British Museum

Year 5 pupils visited the British Museum in order to kickstart their History topic: Ancient Greeks!

Year 5 Pupils visited various galleries in order to learn how people in this era used architecture, sculpting and pottery in order to depict stories. Pupils were extremely impressed to hear that some of the monuments that were built at the time were a lot taller than our current homes!

Children also studied different artefacts in order to deepen their understanding of trade at the time. They understood how important this was and how trade did enable Greeks to expand overseas.

It was a great trip with full of interesting artefacts!
