The Early Years children had a great dinosaur afternoon! They were split into groups where they had to research all about a particular dinosaur. They created posters, footprints and masks as well as playdough models and then presented these to the rest of the group. We were fortunately supported by some of the Year 5 and 6 pupils who helped the children with their research.
Here are some interesting facts we found out:
- The diplodocus weighs as much as 3 elephants and only eats plants.
- The triceratops’ name means ‘three-horned face’ and they were around 66 million years ago.
- The velociraptor was the size of a turkey and its name means ‘swift robber’ because they used to steal others food.
