Year 5S surprised their parents and peers last week when they hosted an interactive game-show inspired assembly, called “I’m An Eco-Warrior Get Me Out of Here”.
To start the show, the presenters explained the rules of the game and introduced the three contestants: Freddie Forest, Izzy Ice Cap and Rachel River. During the assembly, the children shared a variety of facts about the importance of rivers, forests and ice caps in our world, in order to emphasize why it is vital that we all take action now to protect our world.
At the end, the parents voted for the winning issue of the day and Izzy Ice Cap was crowned the winner. The children finished their assembly with a beautiful rendition of “Count on Trees”. Well done to you all for your fantastic performance!
