Year 2 have begun learning about the Great Fire of London and the baker, Thomas Farriner who allegedly accidentally started the fire at his bakery on Pudding Lane.
Inspired by the story, the children put on their chef hats to do some baking and made some delicious bread!
They carefully weighed the ingredients and followed the written instructions, mixing the ingredients and kneading the dough. The bread making was a huge success and the loaves came out of the oven smelling delicious!
They even learnt how to write their own recipe using clear and detailed instructions.
