Fire! Concert

Pupils in Years 3-6 took part in a rare musical theatre event with a professional orchestra organized by ‘The Classical Road Show’. The event linked to the story of the Great Fire of London 1666 with music played by The London Mozart Players and Guildhall School of Music Players. Leading up to the show, the pupils recapped the Great Fire of London, made costumes and learnt the songs for the performance, this was no ordinary trip! This cross-curricular Music and History event enabled the pupils to participate in an interactive theatre show with live actors and an orchestra. The pupils saw some rare instruments played in the orchestra and wore their specially made costumes as they sang their hearts out as part of the live choir. All of the teachers were so proud of their efforts – well done Normanhurst Pupils!
