Year 5 had a wonderful visit to the Migration Museum as part of their Geography unit, which was focused on migration to England. The children took part in a fun workshop during which they discussed the push and pull factors that cause people to want to, or even have to, migrate from their source country. They also played a fun and interesting game called ‘One Small Step Forward’ where they had the chance to learn about how each of them had been involved or impacted by migration in their lifetimes. Following the workshop, the children had the chance to explore the museum and learn about the life stories of many people who had migrated to England, discovering the history of the founders of many well-known and loved brands, such as Odeon Cinemas, Marmite, and Jimmy Choo.
