Year 6 Visit the Science Museum

The Year 6 pupils went on a trip to the Science Museum to expanded their understanding of animal habitats and biomes. They watched a 3D film at the iMAX cinema all about Antarctica. They found out about an hidden ice village at the bottom of the sea floor full of hidden animals we had not previously known about as well as ways all the animals have adapted to living in such freezing temperatures. As well as this, the pupils got the chance to explore the interactive activities in the ‘Wonderlab’ at the museum. In this immersive experience, they had the chance to test out the friction slides, pulley chairs, test wind power and static electricity as well as find out more about reflective surfaces and light and dark. The Year 6 pupils had a busy day but they all said it was worth it!
