The Reception children had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day!
Some of the Reception children created their own book based on the story ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’. They used alliteration to create their own book title and had books called ‘The Cheetah Who Came for Cheese’ and ‘The Mantaray Who Came To eat Maltesers’. They drew a story map for their story with the characters, setting, a problem and a solution. The children then told their stories to their friends and they were fantastic!
They also acted out part of the story ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’. There was someone acting as Sophie, the child and someone acting as dad when he got home from work. They had great fun and the children acted out the scene very well!
They ended the day by sharing their favourite stories with each other. What a great day!
