Year 6 have been studying how animals and humans impact the environment in both positive and negative ways.
They have also looked at what an ecosystem is and created their own ‘mini flora ecosystems’. They spent a lesson building an ecosystem in a bottle, planting cress and wild flower seeds. They will study them for a week before taking them home to further develop. Whilst in school they will study the changes that happen when the seeds are untouched by animals or humans and how quickly things can grow. Keep an eye out for the results of their ‘blooming ecosystems’!
