Continuing with their research on the Romans, Year 4 learnt about the Roman Catapult Onager. They even got a chance to make their own miniature version and test it out against their classmates in the playground!
The Onager was a war machine used in the past, especially in the Roman army. Equipped with a “spoon” on a rigid arm, it was able to throw stone missiles and burning logs a long distance.
