On Thursday 22 March the Junior gymnasts took part in the LBWF Key Steps Gymnastics for Key Stages 1 and 2. Our pupils have been practising in gym club and lessons for the past few weeks. The event took place at Parkside school and consisted of three elements, a floor routine, body management and a vault. The routines gradually increased in difficulty along with the age of the participants.
Everyone took part to the best of their ability and there were many excellent performances. We will get the results of the competition soon as there will be another event for the Waltham Forest schools in the south of the borough. All participants were awarded a certificate for being part of their school team. Well done to everyone who practised so hard at school and at home.
