Year 1 and 2 had great fun celebrating World Book Day last week, despite the snowy weather! World Book day is a celebration of books and reading, marked in over 100 countries all over the world. To honour the occasion, the children all came in dressed as their favourite book character. There were some great costumes!
This is what some of our Year 2 pupils thought of the day:
“I liked that we got dressed up. I got to dress up as a Ninja from Ninjago!” Elise
“I like World Book Day because I was able to dress up as Superman. He is strong and brave.” Zain
“I liked it when I was talking about my costume to the class and everyone like it. I was Horrid Henry.” Leo
“Everyone liked my costume and I was able to talk about it to the class and perform some spells!” Matteo
“I love World Book Day because I got to dress up as Muggle-Wump from the Twits and everybody thought I was the Gruffalo or a bear!” William
