As a part of our PSHE careers enrichment programme our Year 10 pupils visited Forest School who were hosting their annual “Next Steps” Careers Fair.
This Year the fair had over 40 stands, 20 of which were represented by leading Universities. Our pupils took full advantage of their opportunity to meet and talk to representatives from a broad range of careers and higher educational establishments and were able to seek advice and find out about a wide range of educational and career based opportunities.
After our pupils finished their appointments in the hall they then took part in a tour of the school conducted by members of Forest School’s sixth form pupils. The morning was concluded with a talk on “Preparing for the transition into higher education”.
All in all this was an excellent opportunity for our pupils to prepare themselves for life beyond Normanhurst!
